TARTAN me forever

Tartan is back! Once again, Tartan is one of this coming season hot fabric! For those who don't know how to cope with it and the ones in need for inspiration here are my advices:
1- do not take Tartan too seriously if you don t want to look like a granny, (with all my respect..) meaning do not wear it in a too classic way.
2- mix and match: Jeans like Tartan but animal or army prints work good as well! And why not even floral prints?!
3- do use Tartan accessories. It will add personality to any casual or sober outfit.
4- last but not least: Tartan is a fabric for all occasions! Here in pictures!

Sneakers attitude

Sneakers are, more then ever, a "wardrobe must-have" this season. Like the "t-shirt message" wear them not too sporty but chic and classic. With a blouse for instance or a shirt, everything is allowed in between : short or long skirt, trousers...

Style tip: do team this outfit with contemporary or vintage accessories!

The T-Shirt message

Very "trending" this year, the T-shirt or sweat-shirt message is the ideal piece for adding a little twist to a boring basic. And No it is not for "teenagers-only" and Yes you can wear it even if you are up to 40 something old... How? Play it chic, not too sporty.  For instance: tuxedo jacket + slim or boot-cut jeans, very nice and cool with a pencil skirt as well. One last thing: the message, choose one you really like and fits your personalty!

Tomorrow, Jane Birkin is in Milan for her concert. I am, needless to say,  quite excited to attend this event! She is such an icon and not only because she was Serge Gainsbourg muse...Her timeless style and unique personality inspired and keep on inspiring many people. What do I wear for an opening?

You are planning to go to an opening at an art Gallery. The d-day comes and you find yourself  in front of your wardrobe with the question: what should I wear?

Here are a few tips:

Choose your favorite jacket/tuxedo , no show-off but fancy your style with accessories on the edge.  I won't recommend wearing prints excepted if you go to a Pierre Soulages exhibition! There is always a photographer and chances are you might appear on some pics. Clothes with colors and prints will create some visuals interferences with the artworks. Instead, a one-to two colors block outfit will flatter and sharp your silhouette. My two proposals below shows jackets and pants but the little black dress or skirt are also appropriated for such event!

By the way, if you are in Paris, I highly recommend you to see Gerhard Richter exhibition at Pompidou Center:  stunning!!

Hello, hello! My selection of the day is this sleeveless prairie print jumpsuit by Vanessa Bruno. Then I looked for a yellow bag and I found this one by Florian Denicourt. Something funny about this is I did not know that Florian met Vanessa Bruno after studying and worked for her as a leather accessories designer! Now is has is onw brand! The bracelet is from Adeline Affre.
